Fairooz Haider

Fairooz Haider is a Junior Paralegal at Lightman Law Firm.

She aids clients with U.S. citizenship and family immigration matters such as removal of conditions, K-1 visas, and marriage-based green cards. She has experience preparing Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) petitions, Widow(er) petitions, and Deferred Action Childhood Arrivals (DACA) renewal requests. She has also assisted with employment-based green card filings.

As a first-generation immigrant from Bangladesh raised in the U.S., Fairooz understands first-hand the experiences associated with dealing with the U.S. immigration system and the struggles and concerns that come along with it. This unique perspective motivates her to assist clients with understanding and empathy.

Fairooz is a graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice, earning both a Bachelors (minoring in law) and Master of Arts in International Criminal Justice. She speaks English and Bengali fluently.
